YA JUST GOTTA SEE DR. DRAKE DUANE, MS., MD
Please join us on Tuesday, February 17th at Fort Lewis College Nobel Hall from 7-8:30pm for a truly enlightening evening with behavioral neurologist, Dr. Drake Duane, MS., MD., by attending his presentation, "Dyslexia Demystified: Diagnosis, Treatment, Current Research and Life Advantages". Dr. Drake tells us that, "Much that is taught about the brain is wrong: let's get it right!" So this is sure to be an event that will deepen our understanding of our dyslexic kiddos!
Prior to the presentation we are going to have a Liberty family gathering at Fort Lewis College Nobel Hall. Our gathering includes former and current families with pastries and coffee from 6-7pm. You might even get the chance to be famous! Mr C is creating a Liberty documentary using family and student testimonials about their experiences at Liberty. Oral Fluency Volunteers Wanted
We are continually in need of volunteers to help us with our Oral Fluency Program. Please tell your family, friends, and neighbors we would LOVE to have them help our students practice their oral fluency skills by reading to a volunteer. They can come any time Tuesday through Friday from 12:25-12:50. It's a unique opportunity to help our kiddos strengthen their reading skills.
